We’ve All Been There

"I've been a VP. I've worked at Apple. And I've still ended up unemployed in Berlin, wondering what I was actually good at.
That experience is why I built this coaching program - to help you do what I did- reassemble what you have, and sell it to the right companies."

The Reality of the
German Job Market
If you're job hunting in Germany right now, you may have noticed that the market has changed. What used to work no longer delivers results.
Many people remember 2019 as 'a different planet': 10 applications → 8 replies → a few interviews → a couple of offers.
Today, you often have to multiply your effort by 10 (or more) and still hear nothing.
What typically adds extra pressure for expats:
Rejections with no explanation and zero feedback.
Feeling 'overqualified / underqualified' depending on the vacancy.
Unfamiliar hiring rules and interviews (each stage tests something different).
I also see a common trap: when stress peaks, people want to do more — so they start 'spray and pray', applying to everything without checking if the role actually fits. The result is wasted energy and a persistently low conversion rate.
If you recognise yourself in even some of these points — you're in the right place here.

Expat Careers

I help you move from chaos and anxiety to clarity and a sustainable strategy. Here's how the work actually happens - four things we focus on, in order.
Clarity: we confirm your direction
We don't start with job listings — we start with your anchor point. What you genuinely do well (results), what you want (motivation), and what the market needs right now. This removes the scatter and gives you back a sense of control.
Strategy: we build a job search system
You stop acting 'on luck'. You know where to look for roles, how to choose the right companies, how to test hypotheses through real conversations with people already in those roles, and how to plan a consistent weekly search rhythm.
Positioning: CV, LinkedIn, self-presentation
We package your experience so it answers the employer's need. Not 'what I did', but 'what problem I solve' and 'what result I deliver'. This makes the benefit of hiring you obvious.
Execution: interviews and negotiations
We prepare for interviews tailored to specific roles and specific interviewers. You learn to speak the language of the company's interests. And you stay calm — because you have a clear structure to follow.
The typical job search process for expats on the German market currently looks like this:
500+ applications → 5 screenings → 2 interviews → 0 offers.
More applications without a strategy doesn't help — it works against you. What changes when you approach it differently?
My goal is to prepare candidates so they send fewer applications but receive more offers:
Up to 100 targeted applications → 20 screenings → 10 interviews → 3 offers.
The point isn't to 'try less hard' — it's to take fewer shots but land more hits.
The Right Job for you
When do the first improvements appear?
First noticeable improvements typically come once you have focus and updated application materials. After that, the timeline depends on the market, the role, your pace of action and your specific situation.
What I do NOT promise:
— Employment by a specific date — but we build a strategy for positive results in the shortest realistic timeframe for your situation.
— That Agentur für Arbeit / Jobcenter will approve the AVGS voucher for everyone — so we check availability on the very first call.
— That German 'isn't needed anywhere at all' — but I'll help you understand where it's critical and where it isn't.
What I do promise: structure, honest feedback and practical work that improves your chances and removes the chaos.

Your AVGS Application — Done Right
Most people lose their voucher not because they don't qualify — but because they don't know how to present their case. I help you prepare the right steps and wording so you walk in with the strongest possible application. If you qualify and are willing to push for it — you will get the voucher.
What is AVGS?
AVGS is a voucher that, in certain circumstances, allows career coaching to be fully funded by the state. The final decision is always made by the Agentur für Arbeit or Jobcenter. More information about this in this blog page.
When you may be eligible: This is often relevant if you live in Germany, have lost your job or are about to, and are receiving or will receive support (e.g. ALG1 or Bürgergeld).
What happens in the free consultation:
— You describe your situation (status, timelines, goal).
— I assess whether AVGS looks feasible and what realistic steps might be.
— If AVGS seems possible, we discuss the path to getting the voucher.
— If AVGS isn't currently possible, I suggest a private option and a next step.
My role: I'm your guide and strategist. I help make the process understandable and less daunting — but I don't make decisions for the agency and cannot guarantee approval.
